As we broke
camp the next morning, Lilly took off for the brush over the ¼ mile of sand
bar, barking at two large coyotes who had come looking for water. They paused for just a moment before
darting back into the scrub. After
that, the day was pretty uneventful and we made camp at 665, another 33 mile
day. We stayed on Prairie Point
Towhead just north of Helena, AR.
